Observations that sit outside the final portfolio but remain part of the work.
Unfinished by nature
A working notebook
The field rarely gives a finished answer. These notes hold what happened around the image—the tool left in snow, the behaviour repeated along a waterway, the camp after the cameras stopped.

A pause before ascent.
An ice axe planted in the snow marks a brief interval between movement and decision. Equipment is photographed here not as product, but as evidence of the body’s relationship to terrain.

Repeated movements.
Along an urban waterway, ordinary behaviour becomes visible through repetition. The camera waits for rhythm rather than spectacle.
Two birds submerge at nearly the same moment. What appears playful is also a precise response to food, current and proximity.

Night Camp · Gurja
After the cameras stopped.
The working day ends, but the field continues.
What remained
Two tents, a clear sky and the outline of Gurja Himal. The photograph is not part of the documentary’s narrative; it records the conditions surrounding its making.
